Desmet & Pohlmeyer (2013)

In our workshops we enable you to experience all aspects of Positive Design by using the Positive Design framework, developed by top researchers Pieter Desmet and Anna Pohlmeyer, from the Delft University of Technology and the Delft Institute of Positive Design. This framework comprises three main components of subjective well-being: pleasure, personal significance and virtue, and proposes that subjective well-being can be achieved through design that integrate all three. To get a full understanding of this framework and its underlying principles, each component will be investigated and used in an innovation case during the workshop.

Masterclass – Introduction to Positive Design

In our (two-hour) Masterclass, you will understand the fundamental principles of Positive Design and how these can be applied to drive relevant innovation in any domain (product, service, digital and policy). Furthermore, you will have the chance to engage in a lively and in-depth discussion on how Positive Design could be relevant to your organization. More specifically you will learn:

Why it is important (or even essential) to consider aspects of human experience in innovation and design processes.

What tools can be used to innovate or design, based on principles of human experience.

What competitive advantage your organization could achieve by applying Positive Design.
